“We enjoy being called ‘crazy,’” admits Armin Vit, co-founder, with wife Bryony Gomez-Palacio, of the design company UnderConsideration, and the Brand New Conference. How crazy? Last year they created a program for their annual conference celebrating the art of branding that boasted a cover handmade…from concrete. But what paper could possibly be strong enough to handle the glue necessary to secure something that heavy?
As they discovered, it’s the exact same paper they’ve relied on for years: Sappi McCoy. And that premium sheet isn’t just tough. “There’s no better paper than McCoy to make those colors pop…and there’s no better Black than a rich Black on McCoy,” Armin explains. “It’s like the best thing in the world.”
