Neenah Paper’s 2012 season-themed desk calendar is a real beauty that landed on our desk this week. (We were able to secure copies for PaperSpecs Pro members – see below.)
Each season has a consistent design using custom typography created by Design Army, and each month in the season has unique elements to surprise and delight.
The pages (individual cards actually) were printed offset on CRANE’S CREST or CRANE’S LETTRA by Contemporary Graphics (New Jersey). The simple yet elegant design is embellished with beautiful engraving in a plethora of sumptuous colors, foil stamping in steel blue and gold, sculpted embossing and blind bevel embossing, metallic ink … even a page printed digitally.
The calendar also doubles as a useful tool to demonstrate how different print techniques can impact and enhance the design to accomplish a desired outcome. This piece will inspire your creativity as it sits on your desk in a handy and equally lovely easel.
