This very special wedding suite uses symbolic visuals and soft textures to bring one couple’s personal story to life. That the groom and bride designed AND rented studio space to print it themselves (the very first time using a letterpress) add to the many interesting details.
The cloth-like texture of the Arturo paper (Stone Grey) is really beautiful, not only for how it feels (a bit like stone-washed jeans), but also because of its visual appearance (think starched and pressed linen napkin). Adding another tactile element, the yellow and white baker’s twine poetically ties up the components (invite, RSVP and two ferry tickets to the island destination).
Feathers (chosen because the groom presented one to the bride during the ceremony), combined with a monogram of their four initials to create a coat-of-arms on the main invitation, are among several personally significant elements that come together to create a tender and memorable piece.
