Hot New Design Tools for Digital Print
Tuesday, April 23, 2013
2:00 p.m. Eastern (11:00 a.m. Pacific)
Registration Link: www.paperspecs.com/webinar.
From using white ink to creating unique tactile effects like raised print, all with the Adobe Creative Suite, special guest speaker and designer Erik Toth is an expert ready to share his innovative and proven methods for designing in the digital print world.
“Take the exciting new HP Indigo ElectroInk. It has the unique property of being a digital ink that allows the properties of the substrates to show through – similar to how a conventional press ink would act,” explains Toth. “This means designs can be truly enhanced by the substrates a designer chooses. Think dark substrates with white ink; metallic pearlescents, photo lustre paper, textured substrates, metallic substrates, etc.”
From the importance of choosing the right paper to the best substrates and paper weights for maximizing special ink effects, Mohawk VP Chris Harrold will reveal the world of creative possibilities for communicating brand messages and identities.
“Choosing the right digital paper or substrate is a critical component of the design process,” adds Harrold. “New fine digital papers, specialty inks and printing technologies have expanded the creative palette in ways never possible before. High quality, the ‘wow’ factor and rich, accurate color are all available to designers now with the flexibility that digital printing provides.”
