Business cards often depict a person’s interests or vocation, but there are very few that actually demonstrate these things to the recipient.
For Austrian experimental-music duo Ritornell, Katharina Hölzl came up with business cards that fit them perfectly. Inspired by the pair’s playing of music boxes that audiences bring to their shows, she crafted fold-out paper cards with specially placed punched-out triangles and circles.
When fed through hand-cranked music boxes, the business cards play one of nine brief compositions, while the cards themselves also display contact information for Ritornell.
