‘Wild Things’ Print

wild_125Few paper artifacts carry with them the same emotional charge as a beloved book from childhood. And for many, none quite compares to the wide-eyed sense of wonder contained in the dreamy, slightly grotesque illustrations found in Maurice Sendak’s Where the Wild Things Are. In 2009, Spike Jonze brought us his film adaptation of the book, which was all the excuse Mondo needed to add the work to their long list of hugely successful limited-edition prints.

This 21-by-36-inch screen print by Ken Taylor was limited to just 350 copies and sold for $50 when it went on sale Jan. 16th. (Not to worry, you probably wouldn’t have been able to get it anyway – Mondo posters sell out within minutes of their announcement on Twitter.)
