Arjowiggins – the masters of paper that seems like much more than paper – have added their potato-based Curious Matter offering to the brand new Curious Collection swatchbook. The Curious Collection is available in the US exclusively through Appleton Coated.
“Curious Matter provides an unexpected texture with a richly matte surface and deep, ultra-pigmented colors,” says marketing manager Ferkó X. Goldinger. “Curious Matter’s texture is achieved through a revolutionary, patented process where potato waste, up-cycled from the food industry, is metamorphosed into a sophisticated and tactile paper. The raw potato starch used in this process is a by-product of the food industry and is released from the processing of potatoes into chips and fries.”
All seven papers in the Curious Collection are FSC-certified. Renewable energy credits from Green-e certified energy sources are purchased to offset 100% of the power used to produce them.
