As we all await this month’s news about the next version of Adobe’s Creative Cloud, a recently released update (version 1.6.0.393 for those keeping score at home) has already given us a little something extra: the ability to run Creative Suite 6 and CC simultaneously.
According to PetaPixel, you simply go under the Apps tab of the Creative Cloud manager, click “Previous Version,” and install CS6. At the moment, it appears to only go back one generation.
Still, it does give you the ability to use some of the tools you loved in CS6, and might even prove useful in back saving files on the fly. Considering the rocky time of it Creative Cloud users have had recently, anything that seems like an escape hatch back to the good old days of “uncloudy” Creative Suite can’t be a bad thing.
