When Vision Graphics updated their website, they wanted to send out a direct mail piece that was different, of course. To that end, the printer did three things right: personalization, paper and adding a special “twist” to the format.
The first thing you notice about this mailer is the exotic “twist fold” that is finished by hand. The mailing panel side results in a diamond shape that rises above the supporting flaps in a three-dimensional fashion. The front side looks like four woven squares. Comply with the handy instructions that tell you to “pull” on two opposing corners, and the sheet pops open like a flower.
Needless to say, you could open and close this novelty for hours, which is why we also love the stock choice – YUPO. The synthetic paper can certainly stand up to my designer’s curiosity, and the slick feel under hand is great. Digital printing made personalization a snap and adds an extra layer of appeal.
