There’s a special kind of alchemy that takes place whenever an artist works closely with a papermaker. This is something you can see for yourself as Mohawk collaborates with Craig Frazier and Xerox on the production of that artist’s forthcoming limited-edition book: Sketchy: Sketches from 1999-2014.
Derived from more than 40 sketchbooks and 2,500 vellum project sketches, the book will be printed on Mohawk Superfine paper using Xerox’s iGen 150 digital press at the paper company’s Print Innovation Center.
They will be taking full advantage of the digital press’ ability to customize individual print pieces by featuring 30 unique covers on the books, with the whole printing and production process filmed for a documentary by Mohawk.
