Domtar recently hit a pretty impressive milestone: the sale of its 5 millionth ton of FSC-certified paper. Yet for every innovative push by a paper company, there are other sectors still squarely in the “part of the problem” camp. Coffee cups are beginning their slow turn toward a more sustainable solution. Now it’s pizza’s turn.
GreenBox appears to have the matter well in hand, offering a cardboard container whose top can be pulled apart into four serving plates (keeping four additional paper plates out of landfills), and a bottom that folds into a storage container half the size of a standard pizza box. Best of all, they’re made from 100% recycled – and recyclable – cardboard.
