There’s something almost preternaturally unsettling about just how good wine label designers Stranger & Stranger are at what they do. In an industry that exudes creativity, they somehow remain masters of all they survey. So you can imagine what they did to a humble deck of playing cards.
We know what you’re thinking. Absolutely everybody’s put out a deck of cards in the last year, and nearly all of them look alike. Sure, they’ll have some OK backs, but once you turn them over, a 3 of clubs looks pretty much like every other 3 of clubs. Not this time, kiddies.
Every card features one-of-a-kind art, and would look more at home in a museum of the arcane than tucked away in that little wood box grandma and grandpa keep on their bridge table. And this being Stranger & Stranger, the tuck case is a masterpiece of embossing and foil stamping.
