We’re not above being visually wowed by business cards, but we’ve got a complete set of fingers that just love to touch pieces specially made to be experienced tactilely. This week, we fall in love with a Kevin Cantrell creation all over again, indulge our love of nature with a beautiful butterfly, and resolve to repair the tiniest toilet imaginable.
Attorney’s Business Card
Just as there are those with voices so fine you could listen to them read the phone book, Kevin Cantrell‘s illustrations are a joy to behold, whatever the subject. You get a taste of that with this business card for attorney Matthew Messina – part of an overall identity package that pleases the senses. The letterpress work on the richly tactile Crane’s Lettra is a delight for the fingertips as well as the eyes.
Foil Butterfly Business Card
Frankly we’re not sure who these cards are for but we know what we like, and we love these. Crafted by DGI, these butterfly cards are part of their Cold Foil Silkcard range: printed using CMYK full color process over foil paper, resulting in a 28 pt. piece with silk lamination. We never considered ourselves butterfly fanciers before (OK, OK, we know they’re called lepidopterists), but these cards could just about change our minds.
Plumber’s Business Card
We allow ourselves one “cheat” each go round – a card that isn’t technically a card, and this is the case with these miniature plungers created by Indelible Design for Yaletown Plumbing. This is one of those items that will hang around your work area for ages, stuck to walls, desks, drawers – to be turned over and over in your hands during those conference calls that go on for ages.
