Halloween, like grim death, is fast approaching (happy Friday, everybody!). Which is as good a reason as any to highlight the latest poster from Mondo Tees, one of the biggest print success stories in recent years. Check out this New York Times piece for the back story on that. Suffice it to say that Mondo Tees’ hand-drawn posters usually sell out minutes after they’re announced.
And their latest print does not disappoint: a somewhat claustrophobic one for the 1979 sci-fi horror classic “Alien.” Drawn by Randy Ortiz, this 24″-x-36″ poster is screen printed, and limited to just 275 copies. The only problem: well, we’ve seen the movie, and we still can’t quite tell what we’re looking at here. Seriously, what the heck is it?
