Finch Paper closed out the year on a high note as its “Digital Field Guide Campaign” bagged the 2012 Pulp & Paper International Promotional Campaign of the Year Award.
Designed to instruct the print industry about how to get the best results with digital printing, the campaign offered the 70-page “Finch Digital Field Guide,” and then used various digital technologies to get it into the hands of their prospective audience. (The guide was co-written by Finch and Printing Industries of America, and produced by CDS Publishing.)
Personalized-URL emails made the pitch, and print-on-demand technology allowed Finch Paper to customize the guide with a choice of one of three covers. A follow-up “thank you” email dangled a 15% discount on the Finch digital paper the guide was designed to promote, including Finch Fine iD and Finch Opaque Digital. The company saw a 50% jump in digital sales in 2012.
Not ones to rest on their laurels, Finch Paper also have a new publication to make things easier: the “Finch Spot Color Guide,” which offers techniques for “hitting the spot-color target” on uncoated sheets every time. Pick up valuable tips on tackling problematic colors such as Transparent White or Reflex Blue; learn how to avoid Multiple Pass and Backtrap mottle, and more.
