GRAVITY FREE 2012, billed as the world’s only multidisciplinary design conference, will present 20 world-class designers, each speaking on a different design discipline.
The two-day event will be held May 1-2, 2012, at Venue SIX10 at the Spertus Institute, Chicago.
This year’s program, themed “Outlaws and Icons,” is designed to break attendees out of their daily routine of familiar ideas, and instead connect them with the most diverse and fearless designers who are changing the way we see the world.
The speakers, a group of fearless designers whose passion and personal vision takes them outside convention, are so far set to include Chip Kidd, Book Cover Designer; James Victore, Graphic Designer; George Lois, Art Director/Magazine Designer; Brian Collins, Brand & Experience Designer; Iris Van Herpen, Fashion Designer; Alex Lieu, Artificial Reality Game Designer; Rafael De Cardenas, Interior Designer; James Ramsey, Urbanist; Javier Mariscal, Multidisciplinary Designer; Rèse Deprez, Production Designer; Jay Parkinson, MD, Health Care Designer; Margie Ruddick, Landscape Architect; Gordon Gill, Architect; Kyle Cooper, Motion Designer; and Karsten Schmidt, Computational Designer.
