In addition to good paper and printing information, Domtar has embued its recent promotion with the avatar-like personality of burt, which is an acronym that stands for Best Uncoated Results Toolkit.
Through burt, designers and printers can discover an array of tips and techniques that can be applied to many of Domtar’s fine papers, including Cougar, Lynx Opaque Ultra and Husky Opaque Offset.
Callouts highlight everything from paper selection and environmental impact to on-press proofing. A special insert on post-press techniques demonstrates effective uses of diecuts, perforations, touch plates, embosses, and foil stamps. The toolkit also gives general guidelines for clean scores and folds.
