When Leica wanted to release a limited edition luxury camera, they eschewed the leather band normally found on such devices for CTI Paper’s Constellation Jade. And to continue the paper theme of the “Paper Skin Fedrigoni” edition, they packed it all in book-style packaging.
The mica-coated embossed paper was chosen because the specially treated sheet is extremely durable: it’s acetone resistant, abrasion resistant, and can withstand temperature extremes of -40 degrees and 158 degrees. From the looks of it, the finish used was “Reptile”.

No word yet on how much these cameras will cost, but considering they’re limited to just 25, we’re guessing you’d best start saving your pennies now.
