Slick is the word for Roland DGA’s new SCM-GPP2 Glossy Photobase Paper for digital printers. The 10.5 mil is a good weight for bringing photographs to life on posters, point-of-purchase displays and more.
Boasting an 86% brightness and 125% gloss, the new offering is touted as being particularly geared to bringing out the most in metallic graphics – music to the ears of those trying to bring new luster to fine-art prints and wedding invitations and photography. Printing profiles in VersaWorks RIP software provide even greater control over color and overall print quality.
Roland suggests it’s a good fit for its Eco-Sol MAX inks. Whatever solvent inks you choose, you can factor wide-format inkjets into your work as the paper comes in 20”, 30” and 54” rolls.
