Digital continues to be the wave of the future in paper as Sappi Fine Paper North America this week unveiled Opus DX, “a cross-platform #2 digital cut sheet” for both dry and liquid toner presses. These include the usual suspects: HP Indigo, Kodak NexPress, Xerox iGen, as well as Canon, Ricoh and Konica Minolta BizHub digital setups.
Sappi has dubbed Opus DX “the do-it-all digital paper,” pointing out in its literature that you can “reduce your working capital by having just one digital cut sheet on your floor that will exceed all of your digital printing needs.”
Here are the details direct from the mama sheet:
- Basis weights from 80 lb. Text to 120 lb. Cover
- 92 brightness
- True Gloss and true Dull
- 10% post-consumer recycled fiber
- FSC and SFI chain-of-custody certified
- Lacey Act compliant
- Generated with Green-e certified renewable energy.
The announcement comes in advance of this week’s DSCOOP 9, which begins tomorrow (March 6) in Orlando. You will find Sappi at booth #610, probably looking very pleased with themselves indeed.
