Coming up with identity materials for a business is difficult enough, but how do you communicate the singular, tactile experience of handmade artisanal papers? If you’re design student Cecília Pletser, you draw upon the ages-old history and feel of the paper itself. As her graduation project from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, she really outdid herself, composing a complete identity package for the nearly-30-year-old Vinczemill handmade paper company.
In addition to a delightfully classic-yet-modern logo, she developed envelopes, business cards, letterheads and packaging – the works – using many traditional techniques: letterpress, embossing, screen printing and stamping. Truly remarkable work!
