Volkswagen’s “Think Blue Initiative” has come up with a fun and functional desk calendar setup that it’s dubbed the “world’s most eco-friendly calendar.” Simply fold the 99.9% recycled and entirely carbon-offset cardboard stand and insert your smartphone, with your calendar app on screen.
A pretty nifty little piece on its own, this setup is also one of those ideas just waiting to be borrowed for other applications.
We can picture using a similar piece for a direct mailer in which the recipient scans a QR code on the box, and then sets their phone in this holder. It could feature a slideshow, maybe, or even act as a stand for a video chat. Oh the possibilities…. 🙂
