What is it about coasters and the holidays? I guess everyone has a drink of some sort in hand during the month of December. I’ll raise my glass in a toast to these clever coasters.
Used as the annual greeting for a capital management company, the designers created a graciously ample coaster – square with round corners – that will surely accommodate any size beverage.
Letterpress printed on the wonderfully toothy .050 Reliance Blotting paper, the highlight of each piece is the illustration work. Each incorporates the company’s initials into a seasonal icon. Snowman shows the “dcm” stacked up on each other. The Reindeer used an upside “m” for the antlers. An angel’s wings are depicted by a large “c” on its side. The eye and beak of a dove suggested by a “d” on its back.
All wrapped up with a bellyband printed on 104 lb. Yupo, the coasters also use four key words to convey a holiday message: reflect, engage, connect, and envision.
The back of each coaster enables the project to be used year-round and completes the brand’s message while expressing the company’s core values of relationships, experience, performance, and opportunity.
