Doodling is a favorite (and yes, Mom, productive) creative outlet. It allows my mind to wander into that discovery zone without even realizing I’ve taken the trip from my left-brain to my right-brain. As we’ve gotten more and more submissions for the Gallery, I realize I’ve developed a particular fondness for another neural activity – assembling things like this whimsical Christmas card from Fizz.
The greeting card sets a happy tone with color (Red Pop Tone) and snippets of thanks for all the momentous and precious moments during the year. On the inside, a winter woodland scene serves as the backdrop for the desktop diorama you’re about to assemble.
Pop the diecut shapes out of the heavy pulp board, and you’re all set to form red pine trees and an eight-point buck with the most beautiful coat of swashes and twirls and swirls. Place the assembled characters in front of the backdrop and there you have it tidings of great interactive joy!
