Coming-of-age ceremonies are special events in many cultures. The Jewish Bat Mitzvah invitation for this young woman combines tradition with very individual elements to tell her story.
The package, designed by Moments by Wayne Gurnik, achieves a fresh look that is contemporary and young at heart. A personal photo shoot of the 13-year-old bat mitzvah reveals that she is a beautiful dancer, and this serves as the inspiration.
Silhouette photographs are used throughout the pieces: label, rsvp card, and the interior of an unusual format: a wrap envelope/invitation combo. The reflective pink paper used on the outside of the wrap was inspired by the mirrors that a dancer spends so much time with during countless hours of practice. Xerox Digital Color Elute Gloss Text was glued to the reflective stock and provided a lovely surface for the images that appear on the inside.
