There are a couple of things upon which we can all agree. Gifts add pleasure to the holidays. Printers should send holiday cards bearing gifts. Thanks to the design work of Fred Schaub and the production talents of BurdgeCooper, this was accomplished in high style.
The first present tucked neatly inside this traditional greeting is a packet of gift tags. (So appreciated as I always run out of them during the frantic wrapping season.) The next present is the elation I experienced touching these pieces.
Inspired by the stripes of candy canes and the sparkle of fine gems, a transcendent combination of papers and printing techniques came together in a bright and contemporary way.
The shimmer of the Stardream, the gloss of the foil stamp, the texture of the So…Silk and engraving – my fingers and eyes didn’t know where to go first. The color combinations of the metallic papers and foils work beautifully together. The engraving on the inside of the card is deliciously crisp with the ink sitting atop the paper for pure color joy.
About the PaperSpecs Gallery
We’ve created a curated space where design, paper and printing excellence are celebrated and made very visible – for those who love the medium of paper. For those who want a little inspiration. For those who may be your next clients.
What’s in it for you?
As well as receiving exposure for your work (and the admiration of your peers), a feature video about your project might appear on the PaperSpecs website.
Go on, Show us What You’ve Got
Those selected to appear in the PaperSpecs Gallery will be notified by e-mail. Not all entries will be selected for inclusion. We’re looking for those printed pieces that are truly inspirational in terms of creative and appropriate use of paper, and excellence in design and printing.
We can’t wait to see what you’re capable of!
