Christina Peressini of Nib and Tuck designed this ingenious diecut greeting card. The unique way it folds in on itself creates a peekaboo hole that serves to reveal a logo or a bit of the artwork from the interior.
Printed on Mohawk Options Double Thick Cover, the diecut card is printed with a solid red on the outside and left blank on the inside so it can be imprinted with a custom design.
Purchased primarily by corporations for holiday giving, Peressini wanted to create a piece that was beautiful and celebratory, but still generic enough to be given at Christmas. The red palette also made it appropriate as a Chinese New Year greeting for her hometown’s (Vancouver) large Asian population. One creative client asked her to tip a lucky money envelope into the interior. This envelope contained an insert with new year wishes and a surprise gift of gold-wrapped chocolate coins.
