I saw a three-year-old recently at a bakery sneak away from her parents, where she proceeded to pick up a lovely box of cookies from a display shelf (the box was just her size and cutely designed to resemble a lunchbox). The once calm child then proceeded to run through the establishment like a rock squirrel on caffeine screaming, “I want it! I want it!”
After looking at the marketing piece BurdgeCooper designed for the recent HOW Conference, I can totally relate. First, the marketing piece is a handy 5.5 inches tall x 4.25 inches wide. The vertical orientation gets your attention, and the overall size is just right for show attendees heavily laden with samples.
Naming it a Marketing Gallery is perfect because the seven cards contained inside the lush Plike envelope provide a tactile collection of various printing and finishing techniques (metallic ink, process ink, offset printing, digital printing, engraving, thermography, letterpress, diecutting, foil stamping) on a variety of sumptuous paper options (Reich Shine, Gmund Treasury, CTI Glama Natural, French Muscletone, Neenah Classic Crest, Mohawk Kromekote).
So it’s true what they say about great things coming in small packages… but bakery child and I already knew that.
