Albertson Design beautifully coordinates this TED 2015 Program Guide with the 2015 TED Fellows Book, all while giving this piece its own distinct personality.
A palette of bright primary colors repeats across both pieces, but here it’s used a little more restfully – on the bold, energetic front cover illustration and sprinkled throughout the text on type and printed thumb tabs.
Speaker photos are halftones cropped with an irregular painterly edge. The facing page provides room to take notes, and viewers can circle their rating for the talk (a system humorously ranging from obnoxious to jaw dropping).
Once again the semi-hidden wire-o binding does its lay-flat magic. A handy gusset pocket on the inside back cover provides room for a couple of key brochures like maps and exhibits. Stock choice for the cover is very different though – an 18 pt. chipboard that is not only eminently practical, but adds a “cool” vibe. Reincarnation Silk is printed with that colorful cover image and adhered to the chipboard.
