It doesn’t get much more heavenly than enjoying a favorite wine under the stars, contemplating the heavens and our small but (to us) vital place in them. Shumi Love Design‘s thoughtful look for Echinoctius celebrates this pensive mood, finding inspiration in Equinox Winery’s very name.
“The design was heavily inspired by the interconnection of the opposites – day and night, light and dark – in a creative and somewhat mystical fashion. The continuous label wraps the bottle entirely and overlaps its light and dark parts to create a visual representation of the equinox,” the design firm explains. “It’s the interplay of day and night that we’ve focused on, and the ‘night’ part received an additional emphasis through the use of stellar constellation patterns.
“The main production highlight in this project is certainly the intense application of tactile varnish, especially in the stellar constellation patterns in the dark part of the label. This technique amplified the overall effect and made the label look all the more interesting and attractive.”
