Determined to show off its capabilities and delight clients with inventive self-promotions, this printer mailed out a sweet treat for Valentine’s Day that’s giving me a very fuzzy feeling.
The red-striped package (digitally printed on Red Pepper Classic Crest with white ink and 4-color) arrived nicely shrink wrapped and protected from nasty weather and postal elements. To get to the yummy mint patties inside, I opened a very unusual closure at the top – four interlocking heart shapes.
But it’s the striking look and velvety feel of some of the hearts (as well as the alternating stripes on the packaging) that had me running my fingers over the package again and again. Reminiscent of the oh-so-hip wallpaper from the 60s, the distinctive texture is flocking!
The flocking really made this mailer a standout for me and shows how you can use a specialty finishing process to give projects an extraordinary touch – literally.
