Cartiere del Garda, part of the Lecta Group, has produced the ultimate print demonstration with the book “Shades” – the eighth volume from the coated-paper manufacturer’s “A Better Project.”
Selected photographers take an in-depth look at a new topic for each annual edition. In previous years, their images explored spare time (“A Better Time”) and how cities can be improved (“A Better City”).
For “Shades,” a collection of 18 stunning photographs were printed offset on six papers (GardaMatt Art, GardaMatt Ultra, GardaPat13 KLASSICA, GardaPat13 KIARA, GardaPat13 BIANKA, and Condat matt Périgord) so designers can see and feel the subtle difference each paper makes on the image. The same file and color profile, along with the same CMYK ink densities, are used throughout for a true stock comparison.
Thoughtfully designed and case bound, the book transcends its practical application to become another wonderful coffee-table keepsake. Just gorgeous.

I am very interested in Shades for a forthcoming book on some very special textiles for which Perigord 150gsm has been suggested. Ca you send more information on availability?
I am acting as a consultant to a private author.

Hi Charles. I’m afraid that this post being as old as it is (from 2015), all the information we have about it is contained within the post. Sorry that we can’t be of more help on this.
