Angel Bomb designed and printed gift tags, coasters and cards as a self-promotion for the 2013 holiday season. Custom diecuts, lovely nostalgic illustrations and bright overprinted colors bring each of the pieces to life.
Stocks were expertly spec’d: Tags on Crane’s Lettra is the perennial letterpress favorite, Strathmore Writing Label in Natural is a great choice for continuity across the various elements, and Barley Board from Independent Paper Resource is icy-beer-mug worthy.
A cheeky sense of humor can be found on the packaging copy. For the light bulb shapes: “They don’t light up, and they don’t burn out.” For the booze-inspired hangtag shapes: “Instant value additive to moderately priced consumer goods.”
And my personal favorite on the adhesive gift stickers: “For when you’re too cheap to buy our tags.”
