This design group decided to do drink coasters. (Useful: check.) The creative concept used alliterations (combining the names of Santa’s reindeer with the names of beer) to form such concoctions as Donner’s Dark Doppelbock and Rudolph’s Red Rye.
They got so wrapped up in their creative word play that the whole project just “snowballed” from there – Christmas Cream Ale, Angelic Altbier, Kwanzaa Kolsch, Tiny Tim’s Tripel, Hanukkah Hefe. (Fun: Check.)
The 80 lb. Royal Sundance Felt Text used on these delights was printed in CMYK, laminated to keep the ink from running during use, diecut into circles, and then mounted to chipboard. (Clever: check.)
But then they just had to do it. They had to go and add humor to the whole mix with holiday wisdom like “don’t drink and drive, punch out your relatives” and gorgeous typography. (Memorable: double check.)
