To evoke glamour and style for this fundraising event package, the designer chose an Art Deco motif. The concept was beautifully grounded with a foundation of perfect paper choices (Gruppo Cordenons’ Ivolution and Appleton Coated’s Curious Metallics in Gold Leaf and Ice Gold).
The waterfall arrangement of the 88 pages inside the main program keeps them nicely organized while showing off the metallic pizzazz of the paper. Hidden coil binding is one of my favorite techniques, and it was a nice touch on this project – practical while preserving the elegance on the program cover.
The front cover used several elements to great effect. Metallic ink on the uncoated paper made for an elegant visual contrast. Embossing provided tactile appeal while pearl foil added dimension and interest.
The palette, textures, and motifs carried across the various pieces associated with the event all combined to create a cohesive, exciting package.
