The unique interactive concept of this business card puts a playful twist on first impressions. In fact, this ingenious design could easily be regarded as a gift … and who doesn’t like opening one of those?!
Printed on soft, suede-like Plike, the outer package is diecut (resembling a matchbook construction), but it’s more than it appears to be. Slip the cover from beneath a cute little elastic band and follow the handy instructions … flip open, bend the cover back, insert a tab … voila, you have a business-card holder.
Tucked inside are a lusciously thick business card and a mini poster/booklet (done with two weights of Conqueror CX22). While I loved the mind-map illustrations that thematically tie both of these pieces together, the little booklet steals the show thanks to the specialty folding technique.
The Funky Broadside Booklet Fold is so deceivingly simple. A slit in the middle of a rectangle, four scores, some clever folding, and you’re looking at an 8-pager begging to be opened and closed and played with – much to the delight of any lucky recipient.
