Think of this direct mail piece as the “pay it forward” of Valentine’s Day. As their copy indicates, SK Designworks designed and packaged this Valentine card to “stimulate your love life.”
A teeny tiny red colored pencil is attached to the main note with red wire that loops around the pencil and through two even teenier and tinier holes. Below that, and tucked inside a Reich Paper Chartham Translucents mini envelope (3.5” x 2”), is a cute little blank card.
Recipients simply had to fill it out the shimmery petite gem (Reich Paper Shine Pearl 107 lb. Cover) and send it on to keep the love going. The idea, so sweet and simple, was sure to be brilliantly effective. Who knows how many endearments were proliferated!
I liked the flap shape and heft of the outer envelope – a pre-made offering from Envelopper Inc. called “No Bend.” As the name implies, these envelopes are not easily mutilated in the mail stream because the line is made of either 80 lb. or 120 lb. card stock.
The choice of the “Chocolate” color was appropriate for obvious reasons, and along with the red cherub illustration adds just the right bit of nostalgia.
Write Your Own Love Note was featured as a Paper Inspiration.
