Palo Alto, California – January 14, 2015 – “The power of mission, design and story can lead the design process,” says Justin Ahrens, principal and creative director of Rule29 and featured speaker at PaperSpecs’ next free webinar – Rebranding Lifewater: A Before & After.
The 60-minute webinar will give attendees an intimate before-and-after look at the rebranding of Lifewater, an organization that’s provided clean water and sanitation training to desperately poor people around the world for over 35 years.
“What Ahrens and the Rule29 team accomplished with this nonprofit provides valuable tips and inspiration for designers involved in any type of rebranding project,” says Sabine Lenz, founder of PaperSpecs. “His passion and strong design principles are uniquely illustrated with the work for Lifewater.”
Lifewater’s mission and Ahrens’ story were so compelling, Lenz felt it was time to ask a webinar sponsor to do something unprecedented in the history of the PaperSpecs webinar series. VMA Storyboard readily agreed.

Ahrens enjoys digging into a business problem and designing a strategic solution, but he gets a bigger charge out of seeing the positive impact that solution can make for the client and for the world. “We believe that design is a powerful business tool—that with great strategy and great aesthetic we can really do amazing things for a company whether it’s for profit or a nonprofit.”
