Answer: Yes!
It’s almost impossible to suggest using foil to your clients without getting a little stab of eco-guilt. Yet the data tells a different story.
Foils are aluminum based and therefore are 100% recyclable as long as the substrate they are stamped on is also recyclable.
In a report, the Foil & Specialty Effects Association (FSEA) concluded that “…both the hot and cold foil decorated samples tested in this work would cause no problems in repulping.” (A more recent version of this report can be obtained from the FSEA here.)
