Answer: Sort of!
Well, it’s complicated. The French fold is not a binding technique per se, but rather refers to the way the pages are folded before they are bound.
A single sheet – 4 pages – is reverse folded in half so that the front and back cover are the main visible pages.
The open edges are then bound together with other sections, usually using perfect binding. (We did warn you that it’s complicated. 😉)
